According to police, the man entered four businesses between April 5 and April 21, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, demanded cash and fled with proceeds.
Following an investigation, it was determined the robberies were committed by Eric Wright, 31, of 220 Oswego Ave., said Suffolk County Police.
Major Case Section detectives charged Wright with four counts of first-degree robbery for the following robberies:
7-Eleven, located at 811 Waverly Ave. in Holtsville, on April 21 at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Subway, located at 18 Woods Corner Road in Setauket, on April 15 at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Aura Vape Store, located at 1110 Middle Country Road in Selden, on April 11 at 9:07 p.m.
Conoco Gas Station, located at 626 Old Medford Ave. in Patchogue, on April 5 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Additionally, Sixth Squad detectives charged Wright with third-degree grand larceny third-degree criminal possession of stolen property for allegedly pawning jewelry he is accused of stealing from a Setauket home.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
